Don't know the thread. Don't care to know the contents either.
I do know that anytime someone on this site offers-up an apology, it's usually due to a perception that's totally off-track. Therefore, anytime someone apologizes for a misconception or mis-read, it's twice as appreciated since it wasn't needed in the first place.
Your reputation and stature as an eccentric bashing, skirt wearing, internet posting lunatic is safe with me.

Of course, the difference between crazy and eccentric is economic status, but we digress....

As I observed in an earlier post: if i was still twenty-something, had all my hair and a flat tummy, I'd be a kilted stud-muffin....at 52, I'm entering "charming eccentric" territory...
...to those of you who still meet the first description above: enjoy it while you can!

James, I really should have said that an apology wasn't needed, I was not offended and you're entitled to your opinion.
They that wear the kilt - nothing shall offend them! :-P
but thanks anyway, it's a measure of your gentlemanly attitude which I respect.

I'm eccentric, you're eccentric, wouldn't you like to be eccentric too?
When some one calls me that I feel honored as I know that I do not fit the "norm"

UK eccentric
One of the most important lessons I learned living in the UK in the 1980’s was that it was alright to be eccentric. I have not forgotten that lesson. I, for one, take it as a compliment.

I was waxing lyrical about my new Tilly hat tonight and my wife looked over at me and said I'm glad I married an eccentric. I just smiled and felt all warm inside. Oh how sickly sweet and romantic can you get?
