no the only time I wore spats with my kilt is when I played pipes with City of denver ! I learned quickly about the "sleeping with you spats on " as the end of the night .....i couldnt get the buttons undone ...( remember I said that the whole kit was from the early 50's ...no velcro on these puppys!)

the only reason I listed everything was to show that there ARE good deals on E-bay ...you just have to be patient .....and look carefully

    Scott,

You played with the City of Denver Pipe Band? We definetly have to talk. Know several former members, and possibly present.

    Hi,
Yeah, there ARE deals on eBay. I just got a military issue Gordon Highlanders, in amazing condition for £46 / $82. I know it was a fluke, because most seems to start at £90, but it's older, and a smaller size (28"-31"). On the other hand, it fits me like a glove.

With a waist that size, you could consider some of the ladies kilt skirts, except that they crossover and buckle the wrong way.

Hmmmh, haven't seen a 31" in..... let's see, this is 2005, currently at a kilt size 41", maybe I don't want to know. The answer is certainly longer than I want to think about, although at 6' 3" now, I can't really expect to be that close to 30". I'm not Gumby or Gilligan you know!
