Ok, being in cold Rochester Ny, i have worn my kilt to the St. Patricks Day Parade. Standing for over 3 hours kilted while it dumps a foot of snow on me. I was wearing thin(thermal/silk)socks under my kilt hose ( they came to just above my knees) , boxer briefs under a pair of flannel boxer shorts, and a nice thick sweater. I was ok, but walking into the hotel afterwards i was warm. i have also worn bicyle shorts and thin ski tights (made for men) under my kilt in the winter. I use most of the stuff that i wear for snow shoeing or xcross skiing. I always try to dress in layers..
