    Bringing this back from the dead. I ordered and have received my custome plates. Went with KILT GUY. So, if you're driving around Northern VA, DC and you see me, wave!

    My wife, of all people, was being really picky on what she'd let me get. No numbers for letters, must have KILT spelled out. It quickly limited what was available...

    I'm going in to ask about plates today, mine will be CELTIC, maybe, it might be confused with a football team :confused: maybe KELTIC, what do you all think?
    We can have 5 0r 6 letters/numbers.

    I just called to enquire with our Transport authority, the plates cost an extra $300 plus $100 per year on top of normal fees.

    nah...not worth it, I could buy a new kilt for that price.

    OUCH. Cost me $13 to get them, and will only cost me an additional $10 a year when I register the car.

    $300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is outrageous, the cost to make them isn't that much more, just some special processing to make the request to the manufacturer. And the ongoing price is also ludicrous. Are those fees to pay for that beautiful scenery you have?
