Welcom Oz! And I'll echo Mowgli's sentiments that the euphoria does not seem to wear off. Still get a lift every morning when I get dressed and head to work.

I'm on the Sunny Coast so we don't get it as bad as the rest really. I'll look into poly viscose if there's trouble that's for sure. The breeze 'tween thighs certainly does lower the temp tho i must say.
Glad to hear you know of A.T.T. in Ipswich. My kilt is beautifully made and strong. Makes all the difference doesn't it when you you know you've bought some fine craftmanship.
I'm also a jeweller by trade and I've ordered a belt and intend to make the buckle. In nickle silver I reckon.
Southern Breeze, were are you south of? Mate I tell you I'm hooked on this thing. Worse than golf but far more rewarding!
I came up with the name Southern Breeze because I live in the Southeastern part of the U.S and I enjoy the breeze 'tween my thighs.
Since you've stated that your a jewler by trade, there will probly be some related questions headed your way regarding repair. One of the recent threads is about fixing a broken kiltpin. Welcome again to the board.

    Ozmeath,

A grand welcome from one of the now many gents in the Denver area! Indeed the euphoria that you mention continues on every time you don a kilt, I can assure you.

Again glad that you showed up!

Cheers Glen, Dale, KCW & GMan. SouthernBreeze I welcome the jewellery related q's. Have made a fine-silver pin with oak leaf catch and am soon to work on a buckle for forthcoming belt.Have been focusing on trad Norse cuttlefish bone casts of late and getting wild results. Thors hammers, found objects, and rings etc. Quite a hoot.
Mowgli, Iplay didge mesalf but not for a while (lost me chops...) but it does go well. I've played in groups previously with the instrument but not lately.
Celtic music responds well to a drone, in fact theres an Irish didge! looks like a long horn, can't recall the name but ancient all the same.
Good to hear the euphoria is ongoing as i hoped!thanks GMan and Mowgli. Lookin fwd to the morning.

    Ozmeath, welcome aboard!

One of the great things about this board is that you get kilt-wearers of all shapes, sizes, and points of view. You'll certainly get opinions and advice of all sorts here. The other nice thing is that (I think) there's a nice respect for each other's views here. Some boards tend to get way too snippy but this one is almost always polite.

Opinions and advice that are worth what you pay for them!!

And Jamie we don't respect each other's views, we've just gotten tired of arguing with others that are as free thinking and hard headed as ourselves!

Welcome from south of the Nason Dixon line, in the USA.. It won't be long before you're jonesing with everyone else, waiting for that next kilt to be delivered.

    A big welcome, Osmeath.

Have you heard The Wicked Tinkers? They are from California & combine bagpipes & didges for an awesome sound.
