Come on Archangel, can you really resist the urge, or are you just looking in private and wishing you hadn't?;-);-)

I can resist, I've seen the guy on the street corner on the KiltDay website, this one sounds worse. I've had enough accidents on the 'net. Once burnt, twice shy.

Last week I was looking through a Rolling Stones fan blog, it was cool until there was a picture of a guy run over by a train. Why was that there? Took ages to get that out of my mind.

I don't think the one we're talking about is that bad, but right now, I can go without.

I nearly took a blow torch to my eyes when looking at it.

    Apologies to everyone.

I came across that link when I was looking at buying my first kilt. Needless to say it was one of the things that discouraged me. But hey, those aren’t what I would consider kilts in the first place.

It's amazing what a few extra inches/cm of wool would do for that guy...

    Regarding that scary site

OK guys 'n gals, we've all had a good laugh. I'll admit there were some posts I couldn't read till I'd wiped away tears of laughter. And truth be told, most of my own posts have been laced with humour, (especially see my intro). But let me get serious on ya for just a minute. I flinched just like the rest of you when I first saw the guy in the skirt. But I didn't turn away. I had a good long look. Know what I saw?

I grew up with a kid sister. There was a time when she was, oh about 3 or so, when she suddenly made the connection that the skirts she wore were particularly for her because she was a girl. She got really high on this realization and in every family picture from this period you can see her conspicuously holding out her skirt (yeah, just like that guy) as if to say "Look, you see this skirt? This means I'm a girl!"

When I look at the guy on this site, welll....he looks a lot like my little sister did back then.

I guess, in a round about way, I agree with Alan. He looks so happy, and he's not really hurting anyone. Except maybe that guy with the blow torch applied to his face.

    Whatever,
    Vincent

I would tend to agree, to each his (or her) own. There is a huge TV counter-culture out there and one of the problems I see is that many people out there can't (or aren't willing to) see a difference between us (in proper kilts) and that clown at the Skortman site.

That is the reason I have that picture of the clown in high-heels on the bravehearts page at my www.kiltday.com website. It is to make a point and explain there IS A DIFFERENCE between transvestites, crossdressers and bravehearts (men in kilts). I'm not criticizing the crossdressers for their dubious fashion choices, but for the confusion they create.

There are other sites like Skortman's out there.. more middle-aged white men that think they look cute in a miniskirt and call it a mini-kilt. I guess what bothers me, like that situation with the kid in MO being expelled from his highschool dance for wearing a proper kilt, the non-enlightened out there see that kid the same way we see Skortman. It is both sad and frustrating.

Besides the short length (is that an oxymoron?), you guys wouldn't want those things he's wearing for another reason: they're skorts, not skirts, & are therefore bifurcated.

True enough, but I tend to agree with Motorman.

But hey, whatever, if the guy wants to run around in a mascot suit, more power to him.
