    Potential Sporran for formal wear?

I'd like some input on this sporran and vendor. I like the look of this one but am not sure if it would be suitable for formal wear (weddings, dinners...).

I know the price is questionably low but has anyone dealt with this type of sporran or this vendor that it might be a good deal. I honestly would probably wear my buzz kidders more than a formal sporran but on the occasion I might need a fur sporran this might do the job.

I have no experience with this vendor, however I see no problem with using it for formal wear. The sporran looks quite nice and depending on the tartan worn should do very well in a formal atmosphere. If the tartan is dark (Black Watch for example) I would look for a lighter color of sporran to stand out against the tartan. Either way, this looks pretty good for the price.

    Just my dimes worth!

They have a brown and a white also. Currently it would be worn with a Gordon Modern pleated to stripe by the way.

In the photo it appears to be black and chrome, but the description gives it as being brown. In which case, I would find it somewhat limited as to what it could be worn with (sorry, that's terrible grammar!). It is very difficult to see any detail in the photo (that's one reason why I would never buy anything from Ebay!!), but what I can see, and noting that the RRP is only £80, I would suggest that this is a 'cheapo' dress sporran and I, personally, would avoid it.

As 'they' say however, "You pays yer money and you makes yer choice!"

(PS: a previous purchaser, who won an identical sporran with white hair, said in his feedback: " Product is OK for the price, but finish and quality poor. U get what U pay for." By the way, yours has just been won for £35.00!!)
