Welcome to Xmarks.
"A day spent in the fields and woods, or on the water should not count as a day off our allotted number upon this earth." Jerry, Kilted Old Fart.
I tried to post a picture of the kilt last night but I couldn't get it to work. I will try again when I figure it out. the military meaning: snipe is a slang word in the Navy for Hull Technicians.
The size of the kilt is a 42 waist and a 24 length. I think the hip measurement is a 44. It has been a while since I made the measurement.
Welcome! And I am sure we can find a home for that kilt that is too large for you! We can't leave a kilt languishing in a closet unworn!

To see pictures of my first attempt at kilt making go to this site: http://webpages.charter.net/snipe481/ This is the kilt that is now too large.
Wow, it looks like you did a great job. It's cool to see a traditional style done in non-traditional fabric. I like it. I'm sure you'd have no problem matching that kilt with someone on here. Welcome!
WELCOME! Glad that you are kilted Alan, and am looking forward to hearing about your kilted experience.
