    Islay whisky Club

I noticed we have many Islay Whisky lovers on this forum, on my search for nice tartans (was bored) I stumbled upon an Islay Whisky Club tartan (nr.3818 Scottish Tartans Authority).

So...there's an Islay Whisky Club...and they have a tartan of their own

Can check it out here: Islay Whisky Club

That's the good news...the bad news...it's expensive and you have to become a member before you can order their kilt

    Still a nice tartan

95 Euros for a lifetime membership doesn't seem too bad. They do have a Casual Kilt too for half the price of the formal kilt.

Plus, if you order the whisky glass, they send you free whisky to fill the glass with. Thought that was pretty cool.

Thanks for the link, I'll have to bookmark it in my "Someday" File.

Laphroaig Distillery is offering a lifetime lease on one quare foot of Islay to all "Friends of Laphroaig", to join you only need to buy one bottle and send the bar code in.
OK, it's marketing, but very clever marketing. you even get a nice certificate, you can view your plot online and get paid for the their use of your lease to the tune of one dram a year. However, you have to go there to claim your payment.

Certainly, my next trip to UK will include Islay, kilted of course.

BTW, it's a heck of a nice drop!
