It looks like that last links no longer availible. I've found another site with the same house playing jingle bells.Theres also vids of other homes, and a bit of info of whats involved. I'm amazed at what you can do with a computer and lights.

That's amazing. I'm sure my homeowner's association would have collective appoplexy over that one.

Actually, the house plays the music on a localized FM radio, so people driving by can listen, but their neighbors don't have to.

That would be best. Can you imagine hearing that over and over for weeks at a time?
Theres a subdivision not far from here that goes all out every year. They have to start putting lights up lights before halloween to get it all done. It seems to get bigger every year, huge dosn't come close to describing it.It's already reached landmark status.

We've got a house near us that's pretty amazing. It doesn't flash in time to music but it has so many lights per square foot that it can be seen from space! I don't know anybody who's ever been able to take a picture because it'll overexpose the film right through the lense cap! The guy has grid work panels and "nets" placed about 2 inches apart. They cover his lawn in green lights and every surface of his house in multi-colored patterns. The glow can be seen from miles away, kind of like the glowing sky you'd get from a really bad forest fire. Not very artistic, but it sure is bright.

Over here in Bawlmer, Merlin (that's Baltimore, Maryland for you non-Bawlmoron speakers), we have a neighborhood by the name of Hampden where, on one particular block, the most gaudy and tacky display of Christmas lights resides every year. The people on this block are very protective about their traditions and will calmly let anyone who happens to move in that they simply must join in the fun or their life will be unpleasant.

check out the tackiness at Christmas Street.com!

We'll be down there this weekend for Dollar Days- I can't wait to see it! I'm glad there's something after dark for the kids to do on Sunday night.
