Wow Hank! Thanks for posting this I did miss it the first time. Congratulations. Your life will never be the same, it'll be much, much better. Watch out for those sensitive moments, things that never made much impact will suddenly take on different meanings and we don't want to let the women folk know that we're really a bunch of softies.

Belated Congratulations from across the pond, Hank.
Everyone else is advising you to relish the experiences to come. Alas, I have missed out on all of that, and it's too late now, but I am sure you are in for years of amazing moments and wonderful memories. Savour every minute.

Of course, there's always Mark for a boy, & Markie for a girl. (I so enjoy being helpful. )
One of the things that can hit you like a brick (& I mean just one of the things) is that while we, as parents, are always thinking of how to train & raise our children as best we can (i.e., parents acting on the children), we may not realize how we are changed by our children (children acting on the parents). If you are a consciencious parent, you will change & develop for the better, and it will be one of those indescribably delicious aspects of life.

Don't forget to fasten your seatbelt and try not to listen to that old Bill Cosby routine about his daughter being born with a cigar in one hand, a glass of champagne in the other, and giving orders....

What Ron said. But , my daughter is 29 with her own. Just remember, teach them the kilt right away before they have any incorrect influence.
