All of the counter-culture/"Goth" kids at my local mall tend to gather around one particular entrance, which happens to be the one I usually enter through.

I find their nearly uniform type of clothing to be mildly amusing, but I don't think much of it as I am a bit of a rebel myself. Think about it, I am as much out of place... even more so than most of them. They tend to be slightly built (the boys), white kids with black hair (dyed), wearing black clothes, raccoon eye makeup (the girls... and a few of the guys), long black coats (even in the hot Virginia summers), etc...

These are the kids that think that I'm "really cool... for an old dude" (their words, because I am a 6', 285 lb, black man that can usually be found in a black kilt (4 of my 6 kilts are black), and black boots and a black polo (or rugby) shirt. Maybe they think I am one of them... maybe I am. ;)

To a person, they all greet me when they see me, and call me sir... which only serves to make me feel old.

Teenagers... go figure.
