I've remarked about that to my wife; folks show up in hair rollers, pajamas, house slippers... then they slip on a blue vest and go to work!

Aggie; if it wasn't for OT money, I wouldn't have been able to buy this UK, after wanting it for several years. I think the Minions hired some shoemaker's elves to get mine finished so quick. Uncle Otto said they didn't have the one I ordered in stock, but it has a tag marked that it was made in October... maybe it was hiding in back. <shrug> If yours isn't anything really special, like a Leather one, maybe you can call and check on its status.

Welcome! This is a wonderful little corner of the web that you have found, now tell your friends. :-D

If you think Wal-mart is fun, try your local diner/small restaurant where all of the other locals hang out, even if you don't normally go there. Once you have gotten through that, no place else will faze you.

    Welcome,

South Texas is the place to appreciate a kilt in the summer time

Dya think maybe the boys at the Alamo could have held out and won if they'd been kilted?

I dunno; February/March is a pretty cold time of the year. IIRC the Alamo defenders had to break ice in the buckets for water during some of the siege.

I'd agree that anywhere in Texas during the summer is a fine place to wear a kilt! That's part of why I got one. Now if I can figure out how to keep the skeeters out from "down there"! (I know, I know; the joke about the Scot swarmed by midges: "Give me somethin' for tha pain, but I'll keep the swelling!")
