It's about what I expected for what I paid. Very different from my tank, but it'll be fine for drinking Guinness on Kilt Night at McGirk's, for St. Patrick's Day and for summer excursions.

I wore it outside to get the mail today (18 degrees F, and windy) and noticed that it's much more susceptible to the wind than is my tank.

Careful with that Heritage of Scotlad stuff. I just received this Dress Gordon in the mail today, and I'm not liking it. It's 65% Viscose Rayon and 35% Acetate Fiber. There's 20 pleats about 1¼" deep, and there's no "swish" at all - very stiff fabric. Oh well, you get what you pay for. I should've just waited to see what new Standards SW is going to come out with. I like the Nightstalker I just got for almost the same price (When S&H is included)

Sorry you got a bad kilt, Iolaus. The pleats on mine are 3 inches deep and the fabric is not stiff, at all. I'm pretty happy with it.

Iolaus, try running it through the washer on cold a time or two. The stiffness might be a sizing.

    Hi Bob,

It looks like a decent kilt for the money.
How long was the shipping time?

    Iolaus,

The kilt's description says it is a heavyweight polyviscose. If regular washing (as Bubba suggested) doesn't get rid of the stiffness, try using fabric softener. Rocky has stated in the past that fabric softener can be used on PV once with no adverse effects.

Please let us know how your kilt turns out after washing.
