    Kilted Interviews?

It was really odd today that I had two separate but similar conversations both started by other people in very different places. I am going for a job interview on Wednesday (-out of teaching!) and the general discussion moved very quickly from my feelings and preparation to "Are you going in your kilt?". (I have to confess that I do not think it would be a wise move given the area where I live; -Anything new takes about 20 years advance warning!) but it got me thinking about how you could go about testing interviewer reactions to being kilted versus success in a job. (I know it shouldn't matter.)

Either way on Thursday it is our school staff 'do' and they are all looking forward to the full kit. Strutting out to christen my handiwork from the Summer and really looking forward to it. Plus it'll be celebrations or commiserations on the job front!!!

Let us know what you decide to do! that's an interesting one.

Being self employed, every new client I visit is effectively going for a job, yes I know it's a bit different, my livelihood doesn't hinge on getting just one client, but I've not had really any problems or bad reactions. It's either a non event or they make a nice comment.

I would say that if you want to work at this job kilted - it would be laying the groundwork from the start to go for the interview kilted.
If you think being kilted would harm your chances of getting the job then it may not be worth it.
