Hey Inaki, the USMC tank is on the list....got a flyer from another Marine at work from Sgt. Grit or something like that...a $39 USMC tartan 'kilt'...right...of course the pic was of the front so no way to tell if it was gathered or pleated in the back... I've seen hand sewns in the USMC tartan and they are BEAUTIFUL...much more subdued colors than the poly at SportKilt.
And, MB Handy, the jacket is from What Price Glory...just posted a thread on all the replica short waisted jackets Jerry sells there. I love them. Have the enlisted Ike jacket you like, and the RAF battlejacket...that's earlier in my gallery.
I spend all the time I can at the river. I'm about 1200 feet above the Colorado River - unless you call Lake Powell the river too. But Lees Ferry, where the Colorado River come out of Glen Canyon is one of the most serene and spiritual spots on Earth. Its where folks put in for the raft trips through the Grand Canyon. But you can also hike upriver into Glen Canyon a couple miles or so, or up Paria Canyon, or just hang out on Paria Beach and watch Paria Riffle go by. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can hike down Cathedral Wash to the Colorado River a couple miles downstream from Lees Ferry.
The Colorado River is a magnificent river with a most adventurous history and many tall tales to tell.
You can take a float trip from the base of Glen Canyon dam to Lees Ferry through Glen Canyon...some of the best trout fishing in the world for those with an interest.
For me, kilts fit the spirit of the Colorado River and the people who have come here over the centuries. That weathered Gordon tartan fit right in with the colorful Chinle Formation, the green and red an purple layer of rocks just above the river.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
