"21st Century Kilts" (TFCK) is THE place if you want a traditional-style kilt in real leather -they also do a very passable imitation leather).

Here are front and back photos of my TFCK leather kilt:

I also have excellent leather kilts from "R-Kilts", "Union Kilts" and "Utilikilts" but, whilst superb garments in their own right, they are not traditionally styled - the TFCK one is.

Although the photos show me wearing it casually, I have worn the TFCK with my grey Argyll jacket, shirt and Gunn tartan tie, and black leather accessories (sporran, belt and shoes), but I don't have photos. (That's not like me, at all!!)

This kilt is wonderously heavy (it's a six-yarder, not eight) and, yes, it was expensive, very expensive, but (to me) worth every penny.

[Sorry, I'm under Dr's orders and shouldn't be here ....... but, I could not help myself taking a quick 'lurk'!]

    Thanks Hamish

Yes, wonderously good looking kilt but ouch, as you said very expensive.
If that kind of money becomes available I'll definitely take your advice on it.

    CT - "beautifully non-traditional"

We can do you one without the cargo pockets if you require no problem at a cost of £199 approximately $338 US.

    Lookin' good as always Ham

I like the unfussy version too. I'll stop by next time I'm in Seattle and take a look at them in person (saw them from the train down from Van but alas, no car to get around town)

CT - and Neo is right down the road, ah for the good old days when I'd cover 3000 miles a trip without batting an eye ...
