Why can't you fly a plane in a kilt? My friend does skydive in one and I will too when I get the needed level to "do stupid things in air on my own responsibility"

He needs to tie it to his knees to keep it away from covering the deployment handle but it looks really cool (not below though I think...) He uses a modified Sport Kilt with strings to tie it and he can open the kilt when landed with one pull. I will modify my Sport Kilt like that when I too get the C-licence.
