Welcome... and sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation... I mean being stuck in a redneck town in NC. I like the state, but been through a few redneck towns there and I can't say I miss them much.

TiaK I love Asheville... greatest place in the world in my opinion but Then again i havent been anywhere but here and canada. I do know for a fact that you can get away with being a bald transvestite (spelling) at a music festival watching bycicle jousting in Asheville. I love that place though. In a few years I hope to be at UNCA I have a few friends there already and its so cheap. Great hicking and camping around there. Oh and if Jewdha means jewish buddhist then we share that (I was going to make that my name but chose this instead(lucky))

I too am from a small redneck NC town. Though it is alot less small these days... Shelby NC. Luckily now, I am in Raleigh. And I agree Asheville is a great place. My wife and I honeymooned there. I love Raleigh, but dang, I really miss the mountains of NC.

Welcome to the forum. I'm from Central Virginia. My wife and my 29th anniversary is on January 27. We plan on going to the outer banks for a weekend around that time. I plan on going out to eat at least one night kilted.

I don't think I mentioned this before buy I spent 5th & 6th grade in NC. 5th grade we lived in Raleigh & 6th grade we lived in Cary.

I thought it was an incredibly beautiful place.
