Hey, glad to hear that you are no longer un-kilted!

It sounds like I need to set my sights higher next year when I make my Christmas list.

Just got back from Christmas with the family so a belated Merry Christmas to all!!
My wonderful spouse out did herself this year. Even after agreeing that the Harris Tweed jacket I bought on ebay was at least part of my Christmas; she did the following
2 kilt pins; one lion rampant one thistle
2 pair wool kilt hose; one black one bottle green
A jacobian kilt shirt; navy blue microfiber
    A Nightstalker kilt from Stillwater
The rest of the family chipped in with several tee shirts that will work well with my kilts.

All in all, kilt wise, I think I made out like a little fat rat...

My wife ordered me a Stillwater Nightstalker Kilt, which I got early:-) . My sister bought me a gold sword cilt pin. And with some nice Christmas money I already ordered a new camo cilt from Sportkilt and two pairs of cilt socks.

Just to give my father a twitch, my mother had joked about making kilts for him, my two brothers, and myself. My oldest brother and I followed that up with a (semi-)serious discussion of which tartan the four of us could agree on.

As to what I actually got - two pair wool socks to wear with my UKs, and a bit of money towards a pair of kilt socks. Since the brother who gave me the wool socks has the habit of commiting slow suicide, I have to find out how to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of them ... it's the thought that counts, though.

My daughter (the one who clls my kilt"her dad's skirt") got me a black Jacobite shirt and my wife ordered a black wool kilt from Kiltstore.net. The kilt isn't much of a surprise, as she got me to log onto the forum so she could link to kiltstore and get thje XMARKS discount. The shirt was a huge surprise, considering who bought it.

A CD of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band from my sis and two pairs of kilt hose from mum. When I opened the first pair (black) I was delighted because I only have one black pair which has seen heavy use recently. Someone asked about sock colour coordination and I went on for a while on this topic, ending by saying that only a piper would wear white hose. Then I opened up the second pair of white hose. Looks like I'll be taking up the pipes, I declared.
    I've kilt for less.

Only one kilt related gift, although I received some books and music that are Celtic-ly connected :-D . My wife Tracy got me a Walker Metalsmiths flyplaid brooch that goes well with the kilt pin I bought from them this past fall.

Bryan...gonna have to start dressing up, I guess...
