Good for you, my first day out with a Kilt on was in Norwich (England) a large city in Norfolk, and I also found much the same, I have been out since and found just the same, I went out last night kilted (New Years eve) to a local Pub and I had just one man asked "what was worn under the kilt" and I just replyed not a thing it's all in good order

Before walking into the store I decided to do one thing - look folks in the eye - and smile. To be honest, there wasn't much reaction to my kilt. Most folks were too wrapped up in what they were doing to notice. I did get a few blank stares from the guys and smiles from the ladies. I did get a few comments - from moms and grandmoms with kids in tow. They were mostly - "hey look honey he's wearing a kilt!" and one young woman who looked me dead in the eye and said "cool."

I know you have all had your first experiences - so this is nothing new to you, but this newbie thought "what a rush!"
