For some reason they now hold the MN games in the middle of July when it is hovering around 100º. I am seriously considering not going this year, it was that bad last year. Why can't they have it in May or September?
For those who have not been to MN, it gets VERY hot in the summer, big ol' mosqitos, too (it's our state bird)
It's not always winter here! (it sure is now, however)

I lived for in the TC's for about ten years, so I'm very familiar with the heat and humidity. That's one thing I love about the UP - the summers here are the best. We have about two weeks of weather that's too hot, but the rest of the summer is better than anywhere else I have ever been.
In the Highland Games, does one have to enter all of the heavy events, or can one pick and choose one or two?
