    Given only one option

Just in passing conversation recently with friends I was asked this question by one of them completely out of the blue.
Given only one option of which to wear as a full time garment come what may,(with the sole exception of ones employment situation) .. would it be my trousers/jeans or my Cilts.
I had to say my Cilts with no hesitation. What about anyone else here on X Marks. What would you have said?

Derek, why do you spell it with a "C"?

I'd choose kilts if I had enough of them. With only having one right now, it wouldn't be practical. Oh, and an endless array of accessories.

I would have to go with trousers, I am not willing to give up riding my Harleys.

When push comes to shove, I'm keeping my motorcycles. I would give up my pilot's license first.

Fortunately, that is such an implausible scenario, I cannot imagine why I would ever have to make that choice. I really enjoy kilt-wearing, but it is not the main focus of my personal or cultural identity.

I vaguely recall a comedian saying that we will not be visited by superior alien races until our population can agree on a common dress code. Notice how on Star Trek, each planet has a distinct clothing style that everyone sticks to. How on earth can you get an entire planet to dress the same?

I would go with Kilts, and find a way to still ride the Harley (if I had one)

But I would go with kilts anyway!

There is an aesthetic issue when wearing a kilt on a motorcycle (it looks clumsy and silly), and an even more important safety issue- even a low-speed slide would have the kilt up by your armpits, and you would be picking gravel out of your undercarriage. It could even get caught in the rear wheel. I have not been impressed with some of the ideas to wear a kilt on a bike like using a bungee cord around your thighs. Every decision has a cost, If I decide to ride my bikes, I can't wear a kilt as often.
