    Personality Change

    Hell-o all,

I begin this post by telling you all that I am by nature somewhat of a reseved quiet type, confident and comfortable with who I am. I always have stood up for the underdog even though it has been quietly. Try to think before I speak sort of thing.

What I have noticed since wearing the kilt is that I am becoming the center of attention, not in a bad way at all, but in a very positive light. I know that I am the same person, just a lot more assertive and confident in appearance.

Am I alone in this feeling?

    Wink attention

You know I enjoy all the attention.Otherwise,I'm just another schmuck tall guy. Kilt goes on and women just love it.Some people stare but that's their problem.

I think secretly we all want attention, or we wouldn't all be wearing cilts. Since I started wearing them, I'm a much nicer person , where as in my 'pants wearing phase' I was much more a thug . Maybe it's because I'm getting older and I have a family? No, it's the cilts.

I've noticed the same thing. I think the kilt brings out your self confidence, just like anything you do that challenges your courage. I'm much more bold about chatting up complete strangers or speaking up in situations where I would otherwise have stayed quiet before.

I don't think my kilt wearing is a desire for attention. I get plenty of that being as tall as I am. And Michael, the women love us tall guys whether we're wearing a kilt or a suit. ;-)

I've noticed the same thing GMan. I'm much more confident, and not as introverted as I used to be. Also, as has been mentioned in other threads, we have a tendency to pay more attention to our personal appearance, not just choosing nice color combinations that complement each other, but also personal grooming. I've also noticed that I am much happier.

It's amazing that something as simple as an article of clothing can bring about personal improvement. But, I truely believe that the kilt has done this for me - indeed, for many of us.

Well, Darrell posted everything that I would have, had I been here 10 minutes earlier. I don't normally dress to seek attention, but when kilted, I dress with the awareness that I will draw more attention than a non-kilted person would. Whether I want it or not (not, believe me) the attention is coming. So I can go forward knowing that, and be prepared for it.

I should have also noted that, this change has come about since I started wearing a kilt, but the confidence and the new attitude are still there, even if I'm wearing trousers.

Interesting thought but I don't think a kilt changes ones personality. Wearing a kilt tends to make us more aware of our immediate envronment because we are setting ourself apart from the rest. The kilt simply forces us to display some of those traits we have been conditioned to suppressed in our lives.
