At home
Hell-o all,
This was asked on another forum I hang out at so I thought that I would ask it here.
Do you wear your sporran while at home?
I noticed that if I am staying at home for any length of time the sporran comes off while I go about my daily tasks (posting here).
How about the rest of you, do you keep yours on?

Off
I always take mine off when I get home, I tend to be up and down a lot when I am home, and feel it is kind of in the way. My wife asked me about that the other day, and I told her it is just more comfortable to have it off.

I put my sporran on in the morning when I get dressed and it doesn't come off until it's time to change into my nightshirt (unless I'm upgrading or downgrading how I'm dressing that day).
I just don't feel totally put together without my sporran. Plus, that's where I keep items I use frequently so it would actually be a hassle to not wear it at home.

About 90% of the time I take it off immediatly. I have a basic one and a fannypack that I use at work. When I go out after work I wear my Buzz Kidder,so I have to switch anyways.

No, I rarely, if ever, wear the sporran while I'm around the house or in my office. I put it on my desk and that's where it stays unless I'm out and about.
Although, out and about, I'm usually trousered, so no need for a sporran then.

No, never, nunca!!! I find it gets in the way. Actually, even when Im out and about...I wish our american kiltmakers offered the option TFCK does...outside detachable pockets!!! If they did my problem would be solved.

Surely Rocky could make something like that for you. I agree though, I really like the look of one of TFCK detachable pockets on a kilt. I wonder if it would actually work on tartan though. Matching it up may be an issue.

I did think about that Colin. I would have to make a road trip to Philly to do that, or maybe just not really care, or send a picture of the kilt so that he can have an idea...Rocky, are you there?

Yes, always, siempre!!!!! I always wear it while kilted. I simply like it, and for me it makes the perfect match for the kilt. I have two of them, one used and more deteriorated and another one in a furry style, more formal, that I also use with the most casual occasions, it just depends on how dangerous will be for my sporran, I mean, by rule, I wear the furry one indoors and the other to get out,... but they're always there!
Even alone at home, as I have to carry some things (cigarettes, lighter and mobile phone, mainly), I wear it without a problem.
¡Salud!

I'm in total agreement here Glass' I feel undressed without my sporran. Even if the sporran is empty I just feel it has to be there. I have only Tartan kilts so I have no pockets a sporran is just the thing 8)
