Aaaahhhh! I've never tried that ale, but I have drunk Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted, and is it ever good. I look forward to your "ale review"!

My bar had Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted on tap for a while, but I haven't tried the Haggis Hunter's.
I tried the series of Scottish ales: Fraoch (heather), Scots Pine, Ebulum (elderberry), and Kelpie (seaweed). I think the Kelpie might go well sip for sip with Laphroaig, since both tout their connection with the sea.
There's a new American brewery, Old Burnside, making Scottish-style ales. I've had the Dirty Penny ale and the Ten Penny bitter.

As far as I remember, in my beer bottles collection I have Fraoch and Arran Blonde, and of course Tennent's, that I get in Glasgow last easter. Here i found Gordon Ale and Gordon's Silly Beer, as well as other two makers that I don't remember now, but I know I've got (there are over 215 bottles in my collection!!)
¡Salud!

P.S.: By the way, on our kilted meeting in Drumnadrochit on August the 1st, I'll keep some space in my baggage to add two or three more!

Derek,
I suspect it would take more than 4.4% ABV to keep a real Haggis Hunter satisfied, with a warm feeling inside.;)
Did your local Sainsbury's have Robinsons Old Tom in over the Christmas period? Mine did. Now that would keep any Haggis Hunter warm at 8.5% ABV.
Regards,
Rob

Heretics-all of you heretics.
Now write this down very carefully:-
I only drink single malt.
Stick to that and you will live to a happy old age.

Rob .. thanks for the info on the Old Toms. The Sainsbury where I picked up the Haggis Hunter was in a Sainsburys Central in town .. they don't keep anything as much as the normal Sainsbury's. However tomorrow I shall be going to one of the main Sainburys and maybe they might have some left from Christmas. If they have I shall buy a few. Also Rob, I will send you a pm over the weekend .. its about time we organised our walk.
