Just an update... I haven't heard from the first employer from friday (though I ended up having a second phone interview with a larger group of people friday afternoon at the same company). I had a phone interview today with the team leader for a group at another company, who has said 100% he is sure he wants to go to the trouble of flying me down for an interview in person next week with the whole team and his own manager. This phone interview went really well and while he didn't tell me the job was mine, he did tell me he was very pleased and will endorse me to his boss (who is the one with final say). The big boss is on vacation in the Bahamas which is why I can't come down there until next week.

If I score this one, I can't imagine it starting much later than Feb 6. So I'm thinking I'll probably be moved in before Feb 6.

I never did broach the subject of wearing the kilt to work... I'm playing it safe this time. :-D
