That's cool to run into someone else who wears cilts, it makes you feel beter about wearing them. There seems to be a difference between traditional cilts being much more excepted then new cilts (Utilikilts). I own a Utilikilt and I get funny looks almost everytime I go out in it, but as for my traditional one (Stillwater) I don't get strange looks.

I know of a chap who used to live here in Denver and headed out to the DC area for employment. He wore the kilt rather frequently and knew about this forum, but if it is him Phillip, he always gets funny looks, no slam intended, but that is just the way he is. Perhaps it was him.

I have only seen one other person in a kilt that was not at a kilt night. That was a guy in a light colored UK, off white cream or something. He was coming out of a knife show in portland while I was talking with a friend and a guy I know online. Didn't say hi or anything.

The looks I get range from funny to admiration. That's just part of doing something different.

This Saturday past, I attended a Holiday Celebration thrown by my wife's employer. I was quite surprised to find another person kilted at this black-tie event. It was a pleasant surprise.

That's fantastic Glassman, I can relate to how good that must be.
I guess that something that is rare must be very special!

I can only wish for the time when kilts will be a common sight in our streets, how long will it take for men to wake up and see that kilts are for men to wear??
    Keep up the fyne work!

And living just down the road from Glass Man in Fairfax, VA I've yet to see anyone else wearing a kilt in NOVA myself!
