Tribe of Mar
I can tell you all I know of said Tribe here and now:
They're a friendly lot, will share their liquor with you (which by the way makes you a member of the clan) before selling you a shirt, are usually at the Highland Games in Vista and were at Ventura last year.
I'm hoping they're at the Queen Mary Highland Games next month.

That sounds more like CI than ToM. I'll have to look Dennis up. I know he was at the Queen Mary last year, and I'm sure even if Dennis didnt make it Tribe of Mar would be represented.
I'll also have to look up Larry Johnson from Clann Gunn.
I have three guys at work who are all planning on purchasing new Stillwaters
(their first kilts!) and joining me in competing in the Highland Games this year. We are interested in joining or affiliating with a clan as well.

Dennis is actually splitting off Clan Strachan from the Tribe of Mar. CI is still going but seperate from either ToM or CS (in the proverbial garage of CS).
Ken Mar is the primary person you might want to contact about ToM.
All of them should be at the Queen Mary.

In case you missed me, I was wearing my new Irish National (dang it's pretty!) and on the stairs opposite American Wake. They're great !
My pride of scotland kilt is unfortunately going back as it is two and a half inches too small in the waist and thus far it's the only one that goes well with my Clan Inebriateddddddd shirt.

Unfortunately, I missed everything. I was very ill and did not think that it would be wise to include every one else in my misery.
Hopefully, We will make it for the next concert series at Muldoons.
Meenwhile, On the first friday of every month the Whooligan's play at the Irish mist in Sunset Beach. That is futher north for you mid to north county boys. They are a great drinking group with an Irish American music problem.
They start at 9 pm and play until 1 am. If you want good seating you need to arrive by about 7 pm. I am usually there by then so if anyone wants to go, let me know so I can reserve the appropriate number of seats. The next concert is on Feb 3, 2006.
The band even shows up in kilts sometimes.
