I thought the first two searches substantiated what I had learned over the last two years. So I plugged in Crumbaugh, a very English side to my father's family and got a no hit.
So now I'm confused, again.

Maybe try Crum*****, Crom*****or Cram***** - or even Cromby (like the hat) or Crumby or Crumborough, or just try again when the site might be more able to cope.
