We are all friends here, we may never meet face to face, but we do enjoy each others company. I wish you the very best.
About 30 years ago, I met a wonderful woman with three great children, we have been happily married for 28 years. The children have become my own children, most all of their children have known no other grandfather. It's been a beautiful 28 years.
With love, faith and commitment, these relationships can and do work out very well indeed.

Ackwell, listen to this advice. It's great that things are going well with you and the lady, but don't rush it. If the relationship is worth your time, it is worth taking your time. But I really do wish you the best.

happiness...
Hey Axiel, it's good to see that u're so happy, and I hope as everybody that everything goes well. In my case I can say that I started to get out seriously for the first time with a girl when I was more or less ur age, 8 years ago. We were toghether for 8 years, and finally we broke last September. It is a sad end, I know, but the important part of my history is that I'LL NEVER REPENT of living what I did. The last 8 years have been the best ones all over my life, and I know that nothing will be the same after them.
Just as some romans said,... "tempus fugit",... and "carpe diem". Live ur life to the fullest, right now, right there.
¡Salud!![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif)

The Love of my Life
If a relationship feels right then take it a stage at a time and see how it develops. God has his divine plan for us all and it often differs from what we would have planned for ourselves when we were younger. I was in a passionate relationship for five years then just when she seemed to be pressing me to tie the knot she suddenly went off and married another man (who later became a woman) without even hinting she was about to do so. In the rebound, I hastily married a look alike whom I hardly knew and had a very unhappy and short lived marriage, but gained from it a loving daughter who is now grown up and keeps in contact with me. After a very depressing spell I realised that I was falling in love with Ann, a friend seven years my senior. We eventually tied the knot when I was 33 and she was 40. We had no family and she is now disabled following a stroke but we are happy together after more than twenty years of marriage, and I care for her and work part time from home. Ann encourages me to wear my kilts; indeed I never owned a kilt until after I married Ann.

The love part is easy. The relationship is hard work. I envy you, this exciting time, and your two new kilts

Congrats, and good luck- I'm glad your preconcieved notions turned out to be wrong.
I agree with the other folks on not rushing things, but for a different reason- you don't want to scare her off! Some moms will err on the side of caution when it comes to people getting close to our kids... which I don't think is a terrible thing in the long run, but I felt you should know.

It could be the best thing that ever happened to you, still as someone wiser than I once said, "on day at a time". Hopefully, things will go well. It sounds like you are getting a ready made family.

To echo Robin, we are real too. Just because the method of communication is over new technology doesn't mean relationships developed thru it are any less legitimate. I have developed very close friends online. I see it as analogous to the days when all distance communication was done with pen and paper. Then as now, friendships grow, intellectuals debate, enemies scorn, lovers court, all regardless of the medium.

There's nothing wrong with sharing your life on an internet forum, just as long as that's not the ONLY place you live your life...
...and obviously, you aren't doing that. Best of luck to you, that gray stewart kilt skirt, and the lady you just wrapped it around!!!
