Ahhh.. Rocky caught the bug. This will undoubtedly turn into a yearly ... no wait semi annual ... better yet quarterly 'business' trip. :-)

Can’t wait to see all the goodies USAKilts will have for sale when they get back!

We're back and WOW do we have a LOAD of info! Little "Arran knit" kilt hose and hand knit sweaters from the banks of Loch Lommond. Tartan Flat caps. Soaps from the Isle of Skye. Rugby Jerseys and Kilt Jackets from the oldest Kiltmaker on the Royal Mile. Tartan books out the Wazzoo (Strathmore, MM, complete HOE collection and now WELSH tartans!)... LOTS of new product lines going to be coming straight from Scotland.

The next big fight... Kelly and I deciding what we'll get first!

Is it just me or is the "Casual Tartan Gallery" on the USA Kilts site not working for anyone else

    Rocky,

Did you find a source for heavyweight pv material?

tartan choices... HAHAHAHA. We got a New tartan swatch book from MM, 1 from Strathmore, 1 from a WELSH tartan company and ordered 6 from HOE. Choices?!?! Choices we gots...

The Casual and Semi Trad pics are down... Hank is on it. We had a few that weren't on the site that he's going to add. Should be fixed soon.

YES, we FOUND a source for 16 oz PV. We WON'T be using it. I got the swatches in the mail today. They are NOWHERE NEAR the quality we're aiming for and people have come to expect from us. In the past (1.5 years ago), we made a conscious decision to really "Step up" our cloth choices. We've been "weeding out" the poorer quality materials we have and going forward, will only buy PV and materials we deem "high quality" for our casual and Semi Trad kilts. The 16 oz PV we got in the mail was a Pakistani source (where, to my knowledge, ALL of the 16 oz PV is made). It was not teflon coated and had a strange feel to it. It was loosely woven (compared to MM PV) and didn't look like it would hold up well to repeated washings.
