Anyone else going to Burns parties?

I'm going to a Burns party on Sunday. A Canadian friend of mine and his wife throw a Burns party every year where we drink scotch, eat haggis (I don't actually eat any) and recite poetry. I know, reciting poetry sounds a bit dull but not with this crowd. After a few rounds of scotch, the poetry gets a bit rowdy and downright vulgar!! Ah... that's the spirit.
Quite a few kilted guests each year but this will be my first year there wearing a kilt. It took me a while to catch the bug.

Anyhow, wondering who else has kilted festivities this wekend.

			Burns Night...

Our Scottish Society's Burns Night was on Saturday the 14th; I have two more to attend this year, both "stag" suppers which focus on the more "bawdy" side of Burns and his "Merry Muses of Caledonia".

Do your friends really call it a "Burns Party?"

 Cheers,

There is Scottish Grill and pub here in Savannah where they are having a Burns supper tonight, but due to the my lack of formal kilt attire (or any formal attire) I will not be attending. I really wanted to go.

Hey Will, I will be in LV the week of 2/28. Any good places to get together a kilted gathering? I will be there on business, an internal conference, but since I wear a kilt every day to the office, I see no reason to stop when visiting Vegas for a conference!

Would love to get together with another X-Marker, if just to have a few drinks. And since my manager will be attending as well, I can see a great "Punk'd" opportunity! My manager is supportive, but not comfortable, and has a standing bet with me that if anyone else in the office wears a kilt to work, he will buy me lunch. I figure that I can set up a bet to find somebody kilted in Vegas, with the payoff being a nice dinner and drinks! Want to help out?

Rob... God, I love this board. If this works out, some minds will be blown. First at the conference, and then when I get back to the office and share...
