My brother says that they saw one guy in a kilt down there. Apparently it had an apron in front but no pleats in back, just straight fabric. That is a skirt, right? Everyone in the group recognized it as a kilt so there would not be any issues with acceptance.
Yes, it's a skirt. Why would anyone want to do without the pleats? The sway of the pleats has a lot to do with the appeal (at least from a looker's point of view).
The SWK seems like a good choice, at least until he gets his weight where he wants it. And good for him for getting it down. :-)
