That is a very interesting way of securing the top flap of the sporran down. I've nerver seen a design like that. The sgian dubh is exceptional - truely a work of art. The top of the handle seems quite large, so I was wondering about comfort after wearing it in your hose for a period of time.
I know some folks don't like the drumming sound of the tassels and fasten them down with BlueTac or rolled up scotch tape. Other folks have said the like the drumming sound. It starts to get to me after awhile, so I use the scotch tape fastening method.
Great picture, BTW, it gives an excellent shot of the details.
