Ham, as usual a great pic! What is that tartan? And I never would have considered a checked shirt for wear, kilt or no kilt, but it looks fabulous with that kilt. I have a casual brown leather sporran that I don't seem to get enough use of because I find that the black one just seems to go with everything so much better. Maybe it is because I do not have a good matching brown kilt belt. Where did you get the one in the pic?
