Suggestions for a summer casual kilt.

USAK casual...definitely. Darn good looking, that PV wears like iron and takes a regular width belt very neatly.

I only have a Hunting Stewart in this kilt but it's grat and I'm trying to get clearance from the Chief Financial Officer here to get at least one more before summer.

I actually had this happen in December 2004 when I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and it was Marilyn all over the place. Of course I was in my mocker and not my Spartan...

I love the Spartan and now that they have a few for $69 each, I may have to get a couple more. I do agree though that what it does lack is that bit of support at the waist to keep it from flying away but the kangaroo pocket in the front makes up for it since I've stashed a lot of stuff in there when hiking.

I've got v1.0 of the spartan, so no kangaroo pocket for me. Are the $69 ones in the scratch and dent?

I think they are...check out the latest newsletter from them and it tells what's wrong with them...

I live here in the Valley of the Sun - Gateway to Hell, AKA Phoenix, Arizona. I've worn kilts thru 2 of the "burning" seasons here & part of a 3rd. I find an Original UtiliKilt, t-shirt & sandals (& a wide-brimmed hat for extended visits in the solar oven) keeps me as cool as possible when it's 110F (43.3C) or more (but it's a dry heat

). Of course, I wear mine "commando" (as God intended) - it helps to have a breeze between the knees!

I know what you mean, I was in Phoenix the last week-end of July 2005 for my nieces wedding and I wore a 16 oz wool tartan Kilt. Luckily there was an incredible monsoon rain the day of the wedding and it turned out just perfect.
I will be in Phoenix this July again for a reunion of the 1st Infantry Division and I plan on wearing a Kilt to that function also. I haven't seen some of those guys for 36 years. That should be a lot of fun.

I don't know, man. The UtiliKilt has a lot of overlapping material that gets kind of warm, even around here, in the summer.
I vote for the USA Casual. Too thin for winter but great in summer.
