    Possibly the Dark Island?
    Try visiting www.houseoftartan.co.uk

They have a search where you can identify a tartan by telling them the colours and order they appear. May help.

I have some friends that are doing the three ring deed on April 1st no less that I think I have talked into wearing Kilts for the day, we'll see if they go through with it. I promised to attend wearing full Scottish regalia for moral support. (I'd be attending wearing such anyway).

And MacMullen, that pic sure brings back some great memories of the taverns back in my home state of Minnesota, makes me real homesick, got an extra room in the event my wife gets smart and kicks me out?

That's great that this young man has decided to wear the cilt to his prom. I anticipate that his date will really like it. Also, would I be correct in saying that there will be no problems with school administrators with this young man wearing a cilt to his prom?

    Cilt vs. Kilt ?????

Why are you writing it cilt instead of kilt, is there a reason or is it simply preference?

Great story. He'll probably be the most popular lad there.

Jeremiah: Derek is Welsh & uses the Welsh spelling.

And I'd disregard that flannel shirt if I could!

I thought it might be something like that. I saw a Welsh tartan website spell it like that.

Jeremiah ... Cilt is Welsh for Kilt as Sherry has already mentioned.

Darrell .. I do not think he will have any problems with the school admin for wearing his Cilt to the school prom. In fact, I would think they would have encouraged him to do so.
