    highland inspirations

G'day all, was surfing through ebay the other night and came across a kilt company in sydney selling kilts for $70 au. the company name is highlandinsirations. I did a search for a web site for them and discovered that there is an ebay listing for them in Canada as well. Has anyone heard of them and or dealt with them? the kilts look and sound nice. and i was originally rapt at finding an Aussie seller but now i wonder wether they are or whether they are canadian based. Any info/experience with these guys would be appreciated.
    Cheers Andrew

Interesting. $70 AUS sounds unbelievably cheap to me, making me wonder what the 'kilts' are made of.

That said, I've never dealt with them so I'm curious. As luck would have it, I'll be in Sydney in a couple weeks, so I'd be interested if they have a storefront to visit.

    Cheers,
    John

I emailed them asking what their kilts were made of and where the item comes from (sydney or canada) they said they only sell what they have in stock so that whatever is purchased can be posted asap.
I also asked about how they compare with say the stillwater kilts
    This was their reply.
Hi there, thanks for your question. The belt loops are approximately 9.5cm wide. The material is 100% acrylic wool for easy cleaning. We've looked at the Stillwater website and they appear to offer kilts with similar features to ours however a different choice of tartans. Their equivalent kilt appears to be more expensive than ours, even more so for Australian customers when you have to add additional postage from the US.

I think when they say acrylic wool the wool refers to texture and appearance. I've seen that now and then with fabric.

I understand that Nauga are bred special for their hyde, but that the wild Nauga's hyde is superior.:-D
