Why don't you give him the number of a local FBI office or maybe look up one of those phone sex numbers online and pass that along.

Perhaps give them the number for Bank of America? That'll teach them to call me every week to sell me something that they can bill right to my account.

The only reason ppl are stupid enough to fall into these scams is simple g-r-e-e-d on their own part. If their greed didn't get in the way, their reason would be able to see the scams for the trash that they are.

There is a very long page of one man's attempt to scam the scammers. It's hilarious, & I understand that the FBI has even used it for analysis. He's kept them going for months, trying to get just $1 out of them as "good faith" money. He's posed as several different ppl to the scammers, & I must say he makes a very good nut case.

I'll have to see if I can find the link again.

Oh boy, Congratulate me everyone! I just won $700,000 in the Eu-Total lottery. I just received an email from Dr Edward Abuye informing me about my good fortune. The whole thing is sponsored by a group of major oil companies, so it "just has to be legit" . Actually, this is a new one to me, I haven't gotten a "you won the lottery message" before. Anyone else get one of these? I had to add these, I was looking through my "bulk mail folder, and I have also been chosen to recieve 500 dollar gift cards from Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot and Starbucks. There are also several emails with attachments (viruses?), and several returned emails which I never sent and which contain a virus.

That's absolutely brilliant! I can just see them dialing up the FBI and trying to do their scam. Especially since you know the FBI has people on hand who specialize in keeping people on the phone in order to track them down.

My favorite FBI story is when I worked at a local radio station in college. One of the women in the promotions got paged and when she called the number back it was the local FBI office. Well the office smart-**** decided to be cute and call back posing as a fake "Bob Peterman" to question why the FBI was paging him and got very cocky with them.

Sure enough, 2 days later, I was subbing in for the receptionist on her lunch hour and in comes a representative of the FBI looking for Bob Peterman. Let's just say this guy had a lot of explaining to do....

This is all just so much bunk, we have much better things to discuss on Xmarks.

If you must talk about something then let's talk about the Holy Grail, I just happen to know where it is and I am posting this to you all for help in smuggling it out of Lemuria but first I need a blank money order from each of you for $1000,00 and I promise to cut you all in on the sale to the Federal Governments procuring office, they have already promised to pay me $1,000,000,000,000,000 for the Grail as a down payment. You each will be entitled to 50% of that for your contribution.

    Thanks,
    Indiana Jones.
