    And, the Kilt Day website warns about hilts.

    BUYER BEWARE:
    · Avoid www.the-hilt.com (Hemp Kilt). Poor customer service, unexplained delays and lack of replies to e-mails.

    So maybe it was Mark - Motorman4Life that tried to buy from them.

    After reading through this thread I decided I'd at least take a look at their website to see what everyone is talking about.

    Personally I think it looks ugly. I don't like that X style belt loop on the back, and the straps made of the same hemp material seem weird to me.

    And in reading the "About Us" page I really had to wonder. In discussing the other things they support they mention "solar cooking."

    What the dickens is solar cooking? Do you wait for an incredibly hot day in South Texas to heat a rock until it will fry an egg or what?

    And where do they get the idea that there are rigid rules that are violently enforced by the Scots to keep others from wearing a kilt?

    Just didn't seem like my cup of tea.
