Personally, I really like that collection of "toys" you have placed around the fireplace.

Nice kilt!! However, what really caught my eye are the two flintlock pistols on the mantle. Something I've always wanted to get into.

I guess you can tell from the toys that my first love is muzzle loading/living history I've been doing it since 1971. I guess a love of kilts is a natural offshoot of it

Now in the second pic is a table with what looks like petrified wood for legs! Am I correct? Your home looks wonderful.
The legs as well as the table top are made of wood,I bought the table when I lived in Alaska.the table was made in Oregon.
this picture may show it better

That's a very fine looking kilt. I have to admit that I almost always like an Ancient version more than a Modern version of a tartan. The lighter colors just seem so much nicer to me.

    Joe,

That is one nice looking tartan! I too like the looks of the ancient tartans, seem to make a sharper looking Kilt.

BTW I do like the picture over the mantle.

A very nice tartan. The leather sporran straps look the part - I am heading straight for the Internet to purchase (too many other things going on to make my own this time).

The kilt looks great, but I'm guessing that you have no children living in or visiting your place. Boy, would my 9yo DS have a field day!

That's a good-looking kilt and the matching flashes are a nice touch.
