Cool! It's a really nice little book, My absolute favorite picture (which is also on the cover) is of a Highlander in the 42th Highlanders in North America in 1762 wearing kilt and reg issue jacket plus Iroquois-style leggings, moccasins, and pouches. Ever pratical, adopting what works in the setting!

I also recommend the Stuart Reid book that Barb mentioned. Another good source is his: Highlander: Fierce Celtic Warriors (London: Pub. News Ltd. : Military Illustrated, 2000.)

I'll see what else I can find in the library this evening!

    Cheers,

    Thumbs up

I received the book Barb. recommended-18th Century Highlanders by Stuart Reid and Mike Chappell. It's real good and has answerd a lot of the questions I had. Thanks for recomending it.
