What a striking tartan, I love it. I'd like more bluish tartans, most of mine seem to have green dominating.

You look great! and wear the kilt well.

That Blue MacKay Tartan is so handsome that, if you'll forgive me, even a Sutherland/Sinclair such as myself would love to have a Kilt made from it! Truly a lovely Tartan and Kilt you have.

Hey, if I have both Sutherland AND Sinclair ancestry in my background (and haven't spontaneously human combusted as a result....yet!), what's one more agitator to get my ancestors rolling in their graves! Maybe a Gunn Tartan too while I'm at it.;)

You know I'm just joshing with you Glassman. Between you and me, the Aiodhs of Strathnaver/Lord Reay were in the right most of the time. See you on Myspace.com buddy.

Most of the time? Don't you mean all of the time!!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Personally, I rather like the idea of a Sutherland descendant wearing a MacKay tartan and showing the proper homage to our Clan.

    Thumbs up

Frankly, a lot of the ill will between the MacKays and the Sutherland prior to their joining forces in support of the Hanover King in the Last rebellion was during/due to the dark days of the Gordon shakedown of the House of Sutherland.
As a Sutherland proper, I would have more likely been on the side of the MacKays against the Gordons were I alive then, just to rid Sutherland of them (nothing against the Gay Gordons, they just didn't rightfully belong at the helm of the Sutherland clan/county).

    Extremely good points.
