When I was in a band we were toying with various names. There were 4 guys and one girl in the band. Sadly, one of the suggestions that DID NOT get picked was "Four Trees and a Beaver".

I really like simple band names. And when thinking something celtic and masculine... How about "The Claymores"? or just "Claymore"?

hmm...I see potential here..although the beaver I saw tore throught all the trees around, with not one left standing. Rather cruel imagery methinks.

Just a thought, but if you are not playing any sort of Celtic music, is a Celtic themed name representing the band well? The alternative is to mix classic rock/folk/and celtic styles. At one of my locals, the band of the night was one guy with a guitar that sang traditional Irish tunes, 70's rock, pub songs, and Canadian Maritime traditional. He was the best band I have seen at that pub or any in Vancouver.

    Having said that:

    Kiltlifted
On Tap (if your playing in pubs)
    Oh Shillelagh
    céilidh (pronounced Ceili)
    Pint of the Black
    Kitchen Party
    Queen's Knickers

I always thought a great name for a band would be...

    "In No Sense A Broad"

(take off of Mark Twain's The Innocents Abroad)
    Mark Dockendorf
    Left on the Right Coast

As I said in this thread http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=16168

The Bloodgrooves is good on it's own and or Bloodgroove and the Nicks.
