Wait a minute, we're not done giving advice yet.
I guess I'm in the minority here. I'm too new to be giving any advice to anyone, but I think the sporran is uncomfortable, and a nuisance. I carry an MK VII, WWII vintage British gas mask bag with a brown leather strap on it, ( like Indiana Jones had) thrown over my shouder to carry my things, and I thought that was ok.
If I have to wear a sporran all the time to remove any doubt in someone elses mind that it's indeed a kilt, then I'm going to feel depressed and just go watch TV or read a book or something.
