I think those are agood option Ron, but some of us are just turned right off by military replicas. Especially if we were never part of the military.

I think what is being said is that people are looking for the equivlant to the traditional tweed jacket (which is always an option for "not-so -dressy") but at a fraction of the cost. Maybe one of these kilt companies (wink, wink Rocky, Bear, Steve, etc) needs to find a way to alter the typical sport coat into a no frills jacket to be worn with kilts. Yes we can just buy at coat at Moore's and do it ourselves, but if the hassle is taken out and I can just buy one for $100 or so bucks, I likely will.

In a recent post about Gleniff Highland Outfitters, I had a look around their site. They have some modern style jackets that may be of interest to some. While the price is a bit high, it can give you an idea about having a jacket tailored to fit like a kilt jacket. http://www.glenniff.co.uk/modern-jacket-1.htm of course the Crail/Day jackets are a lot cheaper http://www.glenniff.co.uk/crail-jacket-1.htm
