I've got a Buzz Kidder brown sporran on order and have been thinking about dying it a darker brown too. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of how yours turned out. Nearest Tandy store is an hour and a half away so I called them yesterday and had them ship me a 3/4" leather strap and some silver buckles for a sporran strap. I already have plenty of dye in the color I want, and a new pair of brown boots and new wingtips for dressier. Damn accessories are gonna bankrupt me. I also found some WWII Sam Browne belts on ebay that should make a really nifty kilt belt.

The first two links are mine , the third is still up for grabs if anyone wants one in black. $20 is the high bid right now. I've already got one in black, but I figured for $20 what the hell.

I will post pics ASAP. May not be until Monday.
I will take a close up of the sporran. Sorry, but I will not have a before picture.
Make sure you read my earlier thread about Buzz Kidder and the delay in shipping. They did overnight it, but did not sned the shirt that I was promised. Maybe on back order.

Glad the leather dye worked out for you. I've got a Buzz Kidder Country Sporran in black, and really like it. The leather is heavy, yet soft. It's a very roomy sporran - my favorite.
