Brown leather Sporran and Belt?

I'm thinking the same thing. I just received a weathered Lamont that I think will look a lot better with a brown sporran and belt. They are out there, look a Hamish's gallery if you want to see some good pics with all kinds of accessories. He's not only the kilt king, but also the sporran supremo. Of course then ya gotta have the brown shoes to match and hose and flashes that complement the whole ensemble.

Damn, who knew I'd ever spend so much time thinking about and talking about what I wear. Could be a worry if I was the only one here like that. Definitely a conversation I try to steer clear of at the gun shop here in redneckville.

Anyway, brown, yeah go for it. I think it would look good with that tartan.

By the way, what part of Oz are you from? I spent a year up in FNQ, most of it in Innisfail picking banannas. Best year of my life, loads of great people down under.

Hey Oswulf, did we have this rave? or it could be my increasing inherent vagueness... but I'm on the sunshine coast, just an hour and a half north of Brisvegas. Innisfail huh? wild country folk out there mate. the real deal.
so is it true you gotta battle snakes and huge hairy spiders to pick bananas? don't mind either at a distance but not when i'm up a ladder thanks very much!

Wild place indeed mate. Most of the time I just tried not to think of what could be living inside the banannas I just picked. Much more useful trying to watch where you put your feet, More freakin' snakes than I ever knew existed. The really deadly ones don't generally climb trees, supposedly, and with all the leaf litter on the ground you just never know what you're going to step on. That and the fact that the bunches of banannas weighed between 60 and 100 kilos and it can be an interesting job. Hell, we had several of Queensland's rugby team picking for a couple months in their off season just to get in shape.

Queensland's got to be one of the top places on the planet. Didn't spend a lot of time on the sunshine coast, Noosa for a few days, Frasier Island, and then on north. Wild and wooly in the FNQ. Still not sure how I got out with all my teeth intact with my smart mouth. Truth is though, not all that different from Idaho as far as the people go, when you hear the banjos start to play keep your back to a wall.

Yeeehaww. Well I'm a folk musician and even in that scene people get nervous when somone pulls out a banjo. Usually because it can trash a perfectly good session in one FOUL SWOOP.
But I play bodhran which probably has a worse reputation (in sessions, not swamps).

And as for those critters i reckon you're on the money there Moosehead. Got a fair blow up there didn't they?...Poor buggers.
