Hi All,
Have to 'fess up, I'm the very good "friend" who referred Todd to X Marks and got him interested in family heritage and kilts. Poor devil has no idea what a slippery slope he is now on .
Welcome, Todd, enjoy the ride.

Yes, welcome to X-Marks! Not only do you good excellent advice for selecting and purchasing a kilt, but also all the support you could wish for when it comes to actually wearing it in public (if needed, that is...)
Enjoy!

Todd,
The first item on that "slippery slope" is the kilt itself, then there's the accessories: kilt hose and flashes, then a sporran, a belt, a kilt pin, sock knife, for starters; oh, and then there's a sash for your wife, Susan, to wear when you go out. Then there's that next tartan that looks so appealing; so the "slope" goes on and on but its great fun and I'm sure you'll both enjoy it immensely.
Check out some of the collections that Hamish, Riverkilt and a few others have and you'll see what I mean.

I can't add anything more, but "Welcome"
The other guys have said it all and very well indeed. Welcome aboard and feel free to post any questions you might have. It's really amazing how one post will open up a whole bunch of other thoughts and lead to new questions. Sort of like wearing kilts... there's no end to them!
Cheers,
